Needless Suffering-Atlas misalignment
C-1, called the Atlas (after the Greek God who was condemned to hold up the sky), is the bone at the top of the spine. It weighs 2 ounces…and it holds up your head, which is approximately the weight of a bowling ball!
When the Atlas is aligned, the head is supported without stress to the discs and joints below. There is normal blood flow to the brain and brainstem above.
But an Atlas misalignment can cause pain and suffering: headaches, migraines, back pain, pain or injuries to a hip, knee, or ankle (usually on one side of the body), one leg measuring shorter than the other, a tilted pelvis, heartburn, irritable bowel, constipation, fatigue, brain fog (as seen in what western medicine calls Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia), over-active stress response, increased blood pressure, adrenal fatigue, and that’s an incomplete list!
From my practice
Recently in my practice I was working with a little girl whose symptoms appeared to me to have their root cause at C-1. Her very savvy mother was taking her for regular chiropractic treatments. But her first scan indicated I saw that her daughter’s Atlas was still misaligned. I don’t do energy treatments when the Atlas is misaligned.
They returned to the chiropractor twice for adjustments, but her scan indicated that the Atlas still wasn’t successfully aligned. Mom returned to the chiropractor once again, with the information I’d given her. This time the chiropractor was said to have consulted an “expert” who advised x-rays.
The adjustment she then did with x-rays to guide her, showed up in my scan as the first time the Atlas was aligned.
What you can do
I suggest that people with an Atlas misalignment see chiropractors who are specialists in the Atlas, such as an Orthogonal chiropractor. The treatment itself is painless. It’s also precise, beginning with x-rays that show the exact degree of misalignment of the Atlas. And fast (5 minutes), no popping or cracking, after which another x-ray is taken, to check the alignment.
It’s amazing how reassuring the x-rays are! You can SEE exactly how effective your treatment was. Should it go out again, that’s also is visible on an x-ray. And so is its resolution.
Most patients experience rapid resolution of their symptoms, sometimes immediately. As in all healing, if the Atlas has been out for decades there may be a longer period of healing as the body adjusts to the treatment.
There are only about 200 Orthogonists in the country. Here’s how to find the one nearest you: Directory of Orthogonists. Please, if it feels appropriate, pass this on to someone who may need it.
Good Health and a Light Spirit to you all,
